Where To Book A Room In Vegas

The golden days where you could Book a Room in Vegas for $50 with a ton of perks included may be gone since the economy has rebounded, but there are still fantastic bargains to be had in the city. Value hotels offering rates as low as $33 a night still exist, of course, but you won’t be staying right on The Strip and you may have to forego some luxuries or customer service. Book-A-Room.com is a hotel site aggregator that compiles data on nearly 200 Vegas hotels from other travel sites to get you the clearest picture of hotel amenities and the best price.

Where Is “The Strip” In Las Vegas?

Many people choose to book a room in Las Vegas that is right in the heart of the grandest casinos and central to all entertainment. Generally, “The Strip” refers to the 4.2-mile portion of Las Vegas Boulevard between Sahara Avenue (to the north) and Russell Road (to the south). Basically, The Las Vegas Strip runs from the Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay.

Types of Hotels In Vegas

  • Value Hotels: When you book a room in Las Vegas at a value hotel, you can pay as little as $33 a night. The least expensive hotel listed is the Fortune Hotel and Suites, which is 1.6 miles from Las Vegas Boulevard – or an 18-minute walk. With free breakfast, parking and internet, there are a good deal of amenities for your money. Each room comes with a small fridge, coffee maker and cable TV. A business center, fitness center and hot tub / pool are located on the premises too. Unfortunately, like many value hotels in Vegas, the place is older and in need of a little TLC. Reviewers complained about the pool and hot tub being out of service and the air conditioners not working all that well.
  • Budget Hotels: For $64/night, you can book a room in Las Vegas right on The Strip. The Stratosphere is known for having a cool daredevil ride on its rooftop, although the rooms could use some updating, reviewers say. If you’d rather not wonder if you’ll get a clean room free of bed bugs, you’re better off looking just off The Strip. La Quinta Inn & Suites Las Vegas Airport South has earned rave reviews, with rates around just $84/night. It’s a clean hotel with friendly staff, a decent breakfast and a nice pool area.
  • Expensive Hotels: In Vegas, an “expensive” hotel starts north of $120 and goes as high as $1,798/night for the Sky Lofts at MGM Grand. Caesar’s Palace, ARIA, the Bellagio, Wynn, Mandarin Oriental and The Mirage are a few of the other more expensive places to book as room in Las Vegas. As you can imagine, these also happen to be the hotels with the best reviews. Our bookers love to stay at the Mandarin Oriental, especially, which has a 9.6/10 rating from guests. The location is perfect – right in the heart of The Strip – and the rooms are nice and quiet. The décor is luxurious, the staff is courteous, and rooms even come with fluffy robes and slippers.

Check These Sites Before You Book A Room In Vegas

Before you book a room in Las Vegas, you should check to make sure you are not planning your travel during an extremely expensive time. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Website lists the Convention Calendar – which you will want to avoid at all costs, since rates skyrocket (sometimes doubling or tripling in price) during these events. You may also want to check out the special offers listed on the official Las Vegas tourism site. Here you can browse offers by location, date, keyword, or type of deal (dining, entertainment, golf, spas, etc.) Then don’t forget to stop back at www.Book-A-Room.com to view an aggregate of photos, amenities, reviews and descriptions compiled from all the other travel sites on the web.
